PHA provides a variety of services for individuals, families, for both short-term and chronic difficulties. In addition, PHA serves as a resource to businesses, churches, family practices, schools and organizations in our community. This includes psychoeducational services, public speaking, training and consultative services.
Comprehensive Psychological Services:
- Individual and family therapy for children and adolescents (age 3+)
- Psychotherapy for adults and their families
- Parent training and coaching and consultation
- Couples and marital therapy
- Premarital counseling
- Divorce mediation
Group Therapy and Psychoeducational Groups:
- Group psychotherapy
- Social skills or friendship groups for children and teens
- Support groups for parents and spouses and children of people with emotional or psychiatric problems
Testing and Evaluation Services:
- Psychological evaluations
- Personality assessments
- Diagnostic clarification
- Neurological screenings
- Vocational planning
- Missionary, police, and adoptive parent evaluations for interested parties
Consultative Services:
- School consultation (for teachers, administrators, guidance counselors)
- Psychoeducational consultation (including “second opinions” for school evaluations or educational planning)
- Family practice consultation (for psychiatric or behavioral health-related issues or concerns)
- Pastoral care consultation (PHA clinicians provide consultation to pastors pertaining to emotional, relational or psychiatric concerns they have for individuals in their congregations or those they shepherd/mentor. This includes general consultation and guidance for risk management situations.)
