Office Support
Our HIPAA-compliant Answering Service is the first point of contact with our office and is available to take messages throughout the day and evening. Please leave a brief message and offer clear instructions. Leave only your name, email address, and phone number, the therapist you are trying to reach, if applicable. You may also leave a very brief message of 1-2 sentences. Our office support is generally available to respond to these messages by email or phone, Monday through Friday approximately from 9:00am – 3pm. For new appointment inquiries, it may take up two business days for you to receive a reply, and the communication will come by email first.
If you don’t want to call and leave a message you can complete our New client inquiry form. We will receive your information after it is completed and we will be in contact with you after we assess availability to suite your needs.
Your Therapist
Given that phone calls to therapists are not taken when in session, your therapist will not be immediately available when you call, unless you have previously scheduled a time to connect. Your therapist will make every effort to return your call on the same day, with the exception of weekends and holidays. How to communicate with your therapist securely (through client portal) will be explained at the first session. For established clients with urgent needs, you will have 24/7 access to a PHA on-call therapist. For life-threatening emergencies where seconds count, call 911.
It is our goal at PHA to provide mental health treatment in an atmosphere distinguished by compassion, professionalism, and integrity. We desire to respond promptly to your concerns and questions. Please communicate with your therapist. For any unresolved or egregious problems or even to share feedback (large or small!), contact the owner and clinical director of PHA, Dr. Heather Hostler, at hhostler@PHAcentralPA.com.
