New clients must first contact our office to schedule an appointment, but can use the portal to check availability of appointments.
Born and raised in south central Pennsylvania, Dr. Hostler received a bachelor’s degree from Messiah College. She obtained Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College (IL). She completed both pre- and a post-doctoral internship at Philhaven in Mt. Gretna, PA, and thrives with her husband, 5 children, and small zoo of pets.
Dr. Hostler is energized by working with couples and families, as well as children through older adults. She has experience in providing services as part of an interdisciplinary team in outpatient and inpatient treatment, as well as a church-based counseling ministry. Dr. Hostler works with a broad range of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, and sexuality-related issues. In particular, Dr. Hostler seeks to encourage the development and maintenance of healthy patterns of relating to the self and others, especially in marriage, parental, familial, and faith-based relationships. Psychological evaluations for purposes of diagnostic clarification, personality characterization, cognitive functioning, or neuropsychological screening are also part of Dr. Hostler’s clinical repertoire.
She enjoys cooking (especially new recipes!), running, snuggling the family cats or Boston terrier, being outside, soul talks with dear friends, and avidly supporting the sporting and creative arts endeavors of her family. Dr. Hostler is a fan of Star Wars, the Avengers, and documentaries. She likes to read books and articles about leadership, Christian theology, parenting, and WW2.
